Pursuing what she could, Christine tried to build a life for herself that didn’t involve Kody entirely because he wasn’t always available to her. Christine’s desire to build her independence has always been strong, but she wasn’t as able to pursue it while with Kody and the family.

Although Christine understood she wasn’t only looking for love in a romantic way or a familial way, she was overjoyed when she found it with David. Outside of her relationship with her new husband, however, Christine has been pursuing a better relationship with herself, as well. She’s been doing her best to open herself up to new experiences, new interests, and new people while she’s been finding her own way outside of her first marriage. Christine’s been pursuing love in every possible avenue, making it clear she’s open and willing to find happiness outside of her romantic and familial relationships.

Although Christine has been doing her best to ensure that she’s only speaking for herself and speaking up for herself, her happiness isn’t all positive for her or those around her. Christine has been trying to make her quest for joy more meaningful as she’s moved through her life, especially when she was newly single. Christine chose to share that she was searching for happiness, but she was also looking for the catharsis of leaving Kody behind. The Sister Wives star wanted to prove how much better her life was without him or the rest of his family in it.

With Christine moving through her life with some level of spite in her actions, she made it clear that her happiness was not merely about finding joy and moving forward. Instead, Christine made it obvious that she was looking to pull one over on her ex-husband Kody and her former family. The Sister Wives star may have been able to find her way forward, and does seem a lot less spiteful now, but sometimes her happiness has an edge to it that many find to be overwhelming. Christine’s happiness has a dark side that shows she hasn’t totally moved on.

Could Christine’s Happiness Have Made Her More Selfish?

She’s Only Been Thinking Of Herself

While Christine’s happiness has been fun to watch in some ways, in others, it’s become a struggle to see her so outwardly joyous when the rest of her family is struggling. Christine has been having a hard time containing her joy, even in moments when it doesn’t feel the most appropriate to put out there. Rather than focusing on herself and trying to keep her happiness overt, but not selfish or overwhelming, Christine has been doing a lot to make sure everyone knows she’s happier than ever. The Sister Wives star may be unintentionally making herself a villain on screen.
