Asking for prayers for her mother, she revealed the family endured a tragic loss of someone who had been part of their life for 20 years. The reality series 1000-lb Sisters focuses on Amy Slaton-Halterman and Tammy Slaton who live in Kentucky. Through the show, viewers watch them a they deal with weight loss and attempts at weight loss surgery.

In addition, the series also explores Amy and Tammy’s siblings. This includes their sister Amanda Halterman, who also has a prominent presence on social media.

On Instagram, Amanda recently shared a devastating loss in the family concerning her mother, Darlene. In it, she called for fans to send prayers for her mother. Notably, the post was also shared by Amanda’s brother Chris.

As she revealed, Darlene had recently endured the loss of her “fur baby,” Baby Girl. The caption read, “My mom’s beloved Baby Girl passed away the other day.

“She has given My mom so much joy and companionship over the last 20 years. That’s not a typo. 20 years Baby Girl has been with my momma.”

As previously reported, Darlene is known for her love of her dogs on the show. At one point on the show, she was reportedly worried about leaving her dogs alone. Infamously, this came at a time she was asked to be there for Tammy’s surgery.

At the time, Darlene notably called them her “babies.” She even seemed uncomfortable with leaving them with a friend to watch over them.

However, Darlene later alluded to be too worried for Tammy to be there. At the time, she later told the cameras, “I’m very sad ’cause I won’t be able to make it. Hopefully, they don’t call me and say, ‘Hey, your daughter died.”

In Amanda’s recent post, many fans shared their support for Darlene following her loss of Baby Girl. Many were empathetic, sharing that they recently lost a beloved pet themselves. A few commented on low long Darlene had Baby Girl. Some comments included:
