Tammy Slaton from 1000-Lb Sisters Pleads for Prayers and Support in Desperate Cry for Help

Tammy Slaton has shared details about a significant challenge her family is facing and is reaching out to 1000-lb Sisters fans to help her raise funds. She made her debut on TV in 2020 when she weighed over 700 pounds and was seeking weight loss surgery to jumpstart her fitness journey. Tammy underwent bariatric surgery in July 2022 and has since lost over 500 pounds between 2023 and 2024. The 1000-lb Sisters star also accomplished several goals and made improvements to her lifestyle. Lately, there have been rumors circulating that Tammy might be permanently leaving Kentucky.

While Tammy may be considering leaving Kentucky to escape the family drama, she remains loyal to her family in times of need.

Recently, Tammy used her Instagram to request help from her fans to raise money for her cousin, Katie Slaton, who’s battling stage 4 cancer. In the Instagram post, Tammy urged her followers to share their prayers and offer financial assistance if possible. She wrote, “all we’re asking is either a prayer or a small dollar donation.” Tammy expressed gratitude for any support, stating that every prayer or dollar would be greatly appreciated as they do everything they can to help Katie.

Tammy added, “I don’t want anybody to think it a prayer or even just a dollar doesn’t go unnoticed cause everything and anything would help.”

What Tammy Slaton’s Plea Means For Her Cousin’s Future

Tammy’s Sizable Following On Instagram Could Help Her In Securing Funds

It’s heartbreaking to see Tammy asking fans for prayers and donations as her cousin battles cancer. She has endured many challenges in her life over the last four years, including health issues, personal problems, family disputes, and criticism on social media. After moving out of Amanda Halterman’s house in 1000-lb Sisters season 6, she has been working to rebuild her life. It appears Tammy has never previously asked fans to help her financially, so it’s disheartening to see her humbling herself in requesting help to raise funds for her cousin’s stage 4 cancer treatment.

Tammy isn’t the only one helping her cousin, Katie. Other cast members, such as Amanda, are also actively trying to raise the funds she needs. Amanda has created Katie’s GoFundMe with the goal of raising $14,000. Tammy has done her part by promoting that fundraiser among her 861,000 Instagram followers. While Tammy’s brother, Chris Combs, and her sister, Amy Slaton, haven’t posted about it yet, fans should expect them to do so soon. Hopefully, with their collective fan base, they will be able to raise the $14,000 needed to get Katie the right treatment for her stage 4 cancer.
